“How did he know where I was from…” asked the young woman.

The Doc stood up, “If you can access the world’s mainframe you can access a bio on anyone. People from the social tech era can do it naturally. And, people from more technologically advanced civilizations can simply learn how.”

He walked over to the balcony and looked down into a large room within the cave. She walked towards him and looked into the gigantic room. It was well lit, from a huge hole in the roof, but it was still impossible to see the other side of the cave’s walls; due to steam coming from a large underground lake that went far towards the darkness of the cave. And it’s shores housed a small town with food stands, restaurants, shacks, a sports field, and even an open air theater. The Doc looked at it fondly, “This is Lartnec, due to it’s location, the world’s mainframe doesn’t broadcast what’s down here. Everyone’s safe here, until the Caesar finds out. That lake is one gigantic hot spring, and it goes on for miles. Even with that crack in the roof you can’t see the other side of it. But, you don’t want to go into the darkness of the caves anyway, there’s all sorts of dangers out there… goblins, dragon men, giant scorpions, dark walkers, necromancers with zombies and skeletons…”

She smirked, “I’ve already seen a skeleton, but what are the rest of ‘em…”

“You don’t seem surprised about any of this. You’ve taken all of the news pretty well, considering you’ve been teleported to another world.” He looked at her sternly.

“I’m honestly not surprised by anything. When I was a teenager I was the kind of kid that would go out camping, looking for The Jersey Devil or Champ of Champion Lake. I used to read Narnia, to be honest, this is kind of like a dream come true.”

The Doc interrupted, “There’s no way back.”

“Good.” responded the young woman.

“You’re either going to be our greatest friend, or our greatest enemy.” He then looked down, “But, you remind me of myself, I trust you for some reason. Technology from outside this world is rare, but I’m going to tell you something only the Caesar himself knows. When I arrived, I had an accelerated air sword.” He looked at her nodding.

She nodded her head in agreement, “Whoa, that’s cool… what’s that?”

He said, “You’d probably understand it to be a “light-saber”, but instead of light it has a high-powered burst of air. It can cut through anything.”

“That’s neat, can I see it?” He continued nodding, and slowly began to shake his head, “No, I lost it.”

“Oh… it’s cool that you had it.” She laughed awkwardly.

The Doc looked at her seriously, “But I want you to have it.”

“Thanks for the offer…”

“I know where it is, and I’m going to send you to get it. I don’t want you to just believe everything I’ve said, I want you to explore the world a bit. And, while your at it, may as well pick up something cool.
